HSS can arrange for monitoring of security systems through our affiliated 24 hour, Grade One control room.
Monitoring comes in many forms. With the NBN roll out well advanced the older method of copper pstn phone line is all but redundant. The latest method of monitoring comes in the form of data packets being transmitted to the control room via mobile phone networks known as GPRS. Typically there are three levels being basic, medium and high security. The difference is the “poll rate”. The poll rate determines the interval that the GPRS device pulses with the control room to ensure it is “on line”. If a device was to cease polling based on its interval rate, an alarm will be generated.
